Luzerner Theater - "Dene wos guet geit" by Muhammed Kaltuk Trailer
It is questions of origin and identity that were central to Muhammed Kaltuk in the development of his new creation - no wonder, they have always strongly determined his life. For him, choreographic work always means an examination of his own life and experience, of the fact that he sees himself neither entirely as a Turk nor as a Swiss, but defines himself through a whole variety of identities. The concrete starting point for this work was ultimately his preoccupation with his mother, whose fate he is currently reflecting on intensively. For him, she was continually a very loving and caring figure. But she herself never really arrived in her life and in the country where she has lived for a long time. This made him think about what it is exactly that makes us develop feelings of home, what unites and divides us, why people often emphasize what excludes them instead of looking for what unites them.
